Well this has been on before. I just  wish to know when
one is allowed to call one self a Veteran.

or is Veteran status something you get from the
community?

We could realy need a definition on this subject.

There isn't a real definition, but I'd say it's when you earn a certain amount of respect from the community

One thing I would say is that you should not really claim to be a veteran just by the boards system. To be a real Vet you have to be accepted as one. You cannot proclaim yourself one.

Miah, according to the software you *are*, but isn't that because you managed to make like 200 posts in a single week? ;)

Oh, and...

You cannot be told what a Veteran is. You must see it for yourself. :P

I once saw a vet. Near on 30 years ago, if it was a day.
40 feet tall he be. With arms of steal, and feet of brass. His eyes as black as coal. And a streak of hair burning down his head, as red as the fires of Hell.

So it should be more like
"I once saw a vet. Near on 30 years ago, if it was a day.
40 feet tall he be. With arms of steal, and feet of brass. His eyes as black as coal. And a streak of blue hair, freezing down his head, as the frozen rivers of the stix."
I rock, and let no one tell u otherwise! :P

Well replying to months old post is certainly not a good way to start.

61 posts will give you "veteran" status, not that it matters.

When you reach over 60 or 70 posts you become a Vetern, but that does not mean you are a forum vet.
As stated before being a "vet" on here does not mean you have Vetern underneath your name, it is something else.

And bumping aged topics is not a way to be acknowledged as a vet, ever. :)
