Stews, borland's compiler is free now? back then i still remember, when i was in high school borland was the king when it came to programming languages, with everything named in 'turbo': Basic, C, Pascal, Prolog. I was a fan of their C & Pascal languages....but now that you mentioned that their compiler is free, what do you think has become of the company? i mean, i have absolutely nothing against free software, but for a company with a solid reputation in the past as a first class COMMERCIAL software vendor, it's quite strange.....

I think they sell some stuff... like maybe a non-commandline compiler? Dunno.

guys if you wanna download the free compiler its a command line compiler though here's the link:

I use MS Visual C++ 6.
It is really quite good for a MS product, quite easy to use (well, as easy as can be expected) and the MSDN library is quite useful, but as stews said, it is a little expensive....
