I must admit, been to quite a few of those cyber cafes in asia...in some you can just smoke away, get stuff to eat and drink...without ever having to leave your little cubicle... The current holding record at my usual place in malaysia was 2 1/2 days... some fool sat there playing legend of mir.... since its only $2 (which is about £0.33) an hour is pretty phenomenal...

as for these fools dropping dead, it is actually quite true.. think there was one last year who had a heart attack while playing Counter Strike (v. good game :) )....

In malaysia we got shit dialup, so people go to these cafes coz they use ISDN lines and are a tad bit faster..

so next time you sit down at your comp with a pizza n a bottle of mountain dew...getting ready for the long haul... DONT go looking at porn coz it would just be really embarrasing for the person who discovers your body if you dropped  dead ... as we have heard....

IT CAN HAPPEN!!!!

I saw on the news once that there was a guy who ate McDonalds everyday for around 7 years then he became fat then he sued McDonalds because they made him fat. He lost the case.

I used to play 12 hours a day of nintendo 64, but know I play 12 of Gamcube every 2 days because know I don't have time to play Gamecube.

The only times when I'm not at a computer are when I have General Studies, Maths, Electronics or Physics, when I go to a party and get drunk and when I'm asleep. I've been playing games this heavily since I was 6, I'm 16 now. And yet I'm alive, maybe it's a case of developping resistance to long hours of playing

I used to spend ages playing on my computer, but over the years I've grown up and got a life.  Computers are the last past-time I resort to, after playing guitar, reading, cinema, my job, my mates and last but by no means least, my girlfriend ;)

People who spend ridiculous amounts of time on a computer deserve to die so they can't infect the gene pool with their lethargicness.

This makes diablo II scary.. ;)
Anyways if I get a nice game I can play it for long. I was playing Silent Hill 2 yesterday. Started at about 11:00 am and had no idea of what time it was until I finished it (I played with brakes of course). I was shocked when I finnally finished the game and looked in the clock - it was 4:00 AM.. :D
Anyways I dont play games as much now as I did earlier. I mostly just sit at my computer without playing any games..

I found out that that story on the person who died playing video games was true because I told a few of my friends about it and they said they already heard it on the news and they told me alot of information about it.

Yes, my first game was Wolfenstein...age of 5...

I was at a LAN party when I was 7 where they played Doom all night....I was in the leading score board....

....today I'm 16, I'm NOT a sociopath and I'm not dead yet :)

I guess the "Natural Resistance" thing is true.

It might have been rays from an unsecured Monitor in the Japan case....that can cause serious health problems and cell disintegration, if exposed to it for a long time....only happen if the Monitor is very faulty though.

The longest i have ever played on the comp is 6 hours, with 10 min. breaks every hour. i have thus deduced that i am not in danger of death by Diablo II (cause i play Deus Ex and Dikatana anyhow), and i wont get radiation poisoning, so i'm all right. As for the excessive gamers, <I hate it when people do this-PB>
