New Stupid Mod: Middle East

Postby Senso » Tue Oct 10, 2006 2:29 pm

I started working on a Middle East mod just for fun. I mean just for fun because the area does not really allows wrapping:

It also crashed on a "Division by 0" error soon after starting. Any idea what could cause this?

Here's a screenshot:

I thought about doing an Europe map but we'll have the same problem - it will not wrap around so a serious game would be weird...

There are no stupid idea's... Only stupid answers... :P But yeah, the 'wrapping' won't really work... but besides that it's a fun mod... maybe we can replay the war in libanon the apocalyps ways  (no offence  )

I was able to play a game against 1 CPU and he nuked the hell out of Jerusalem.

I'll release the files when:
1- I figure out why this Division by 0 error sometimes happen.
2- I add all the cities and correct population.

I'll probably have to add a strip of water to the east side to make it wrap without too much ugliness - even though there is not much water in that area normally. :)

I'm hoping IV will release and option to have maps without wrapping, that will allow so many more map types.

The mod realy looks nice, its a shame that the warping is messing it up.

a little question what country the blue team is supposed to represent?
cyprus should be half greek half turkish (a bit british and bit american but that wouldnt be very relevant here)
i guess you made it that way to improve balance and scale problems

I added Cyprus as a standalone country because that would only make 5 countries with access to water.
