I haven't.

But I'm in Australia, so I'm not expecting it here for a while yet. I'm content to wait :)

I just hope those among us who pre-ordered get theirs at least shipped first. ;)

I anxiously await the sound the sound of the mail every day. I'll be happy as long as I recieve it this year, I only really preordered to ensure that I carry on my collection of boxed Introversion games.
Although, since I do actually just live around the corner from some of the Introversion folks I should maybe try seeing if I can just cut the hastle and go to them instead.

Also Woo and/or Yay for first post!

i'm hoping that too. In the past two weeks, I've had DHL & FedEx stop by once & four packages have been hanging on my mailbox.

Not one was my game though (man, that's annoying!)

Bah, doorbell rang yesterday about 12pm, the usual time for the post around here. I was still in bed due to working on a website for far too long as usual the previous night. The postie knows that`s how I usually work so he rings for ages when he`s got a parcel for me that won`t fit in the postbox. I hear the bell going like mad and wake up, rub the sand out me eyes, grab some clothes and rush for the door phone (I live in a small block of flats) thinking it could just be that lovely box from IV......

Over the intercom comes "Hello, we`re from the church of jesus christ of the latter day saints and we`d like to talk to you about....."

I`ll refrain from printing my reply to them. Right now, with the hours I work, if it ain`t the Defcon box, Don`t even come near my front door.

As painful as it was, I got the email about delayed deliveries of the boxed game, I`m just wondering if IV got way more orders than they expected and are now rushing about trying to get more made up. If they only made an initial run of 1500 or so, we`re gonna be waiting on that ring/buzz/knock for a while

Heh, I find that a simple sarcastic reply works better than outright profanity. Here's some of the few I choose:

  • Sorry, you've just distubed me during my morning ritual sacrifice
  • Sorry, I'm a [Buddah|Islamic|Hinduism|follower of the Church of Satan|Sikh|{Insert not mentioned religion here}]
  • (if you feel up to this one, it sometimes works better than the previous ones) Sorry you just disturbed me and my [boyfrend (if you're male)|girlfrend (if you're female)]...

I find that either they are at the street before I finish, or they shout "Heretic!" and run away. Either way they never ever come back :)

Neo, tried sarcasm already many times, It just doesn`t seem to sink in to them, and being Scottish and thus king of all that is sarcastic, even I couldn`t find a chink in their armour. One even took my Slayer shirt as a challenge to their sensibilities at one point in the past and tried to launch a sermon. It didn`t last long before they got the message

Normally unless I`m expecting anything or anyone I just ignore the door anyway, but right now I`m just waiting for that shiny little parcel from IV. Kinda sucks when it turns out to be anything less than the postie with a cheery smile and a fat padded envelope in his hand.
On and on, South of Heaven.
