I don't know if anyone here will have seen it, but my fav film of all time is the sublime "Pi" (as in the symbol for 3.147....). Shot for a mere $600,000 on black and white stock (to save money), it is the most powerful, moving, thought-provoking and downright brilliant film, with superb acting, beautiful camera work and innovative techniques (for example, the scene in "Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels where the gambler leaves the ring after losing with the camera strapped to his chest looking up at his face - creating a very unusual and unique effect - that technique was invented in Pi).
Quite frankly, it's a brilliant film, and you owe it to yourself to see it.
Other films that I love include: Platoon, Bladerunner ( Director's Cut Edition, of course), and Dr. Strangelove.
So, what're your fav films?

Toy Story/2 - Best movies ever.
Memento - a very, VERY close second.
The Red Violin
If you haven't seen TS/2 you should be shot. If you haven't seen Memento, go watch it. It is unlike any other movie I have ever seen. The Red Violin is simply amazing.

Well, I don't have any favorite movies.
But, can anyone tell me what, for any true guy, the most moving, emotional, powerful film ever, without question, unarguably, hands down, non-negotiable is?
To be sporting, I will give you till midnight CST (6 AM GMT) to answer.
Those who get it, congrats.
Those who don’t, you have either been deprived of one of the greatest ever, or you are less than a man (or a female;)).

My guess is... err... Saving Private Ryan? Actually, I thought Gladiator was more powerful. But oh well...
