DOWN WITH WAREZ!!!

Umm... Linux is distributed under the GPL. That makes it legal to distribute it for free, as long as you give credit. Warez is called warez because it's *illegal*.
Also, if you're a communist... Marxist is a better word i guess (no artificial bias)... then you still have to abide by the rules of your contry, which happens to be a capitalist nation. You can go start your own marxist government, but you will need to pay for everything you distribute among your citizens.
In other words, where the hell did you get the idea that you know what you're talking about?
Oh, yeah. your sig: "YoAreub". I'd think it was encoded more, but it makes too much sense for that. Barely.

a friend once told me a perfect example of warez...
alright, im a professional potter.i work very hard and am well respected. im coming out with this brand new amazing work of art. its sure to sell a lot of ... errr.... pots.
but the night before the release, i noticed the mold is missing(from which i made all the others) and im upset. someone can now sell them/give them away and my business will be very hurt.
its similiar to warez because while nothing of value(like a real pot) might have actually been taken, this has ruined my business.
thats the best example i can come up with.

Is your friend's first name Harry?
You can stop laughing now.
No, please.

I don`t know as I agree with warez, although sometimes some people release such shite and expect us to pay £30 + for them that they deserve everything they get.
Still I reckon the bit about warez forcing up prices is bullshite. In the early-mid `80s when the Spectrum was around everyone copied games, (those were the days when you could fit about 50+ games on a C90 tape), and at the most we paid for games was £10.
The main culprit for large prices is obvious as it`s the same in all industries, the bastards get paid to much for doing sweet F.A.
Sorry for the long winded rant.

You are wrong. The reason games used to cost £10 or less is because they were, put it simply, CRAPPY. They needed less development costs because they usually involved small teams, sometimes even 1 person, making this crappy game on a rubbish computer. Please don't compare Max Payne to Pong in development costs.

Personally, I'd say pong
(I'm beginning to dislike first person shooters...)
But with pong vs. Uplink... Uplink of course takes a first place...

I dislike FPS too but I still prefer Max Payne. Maybe if there was a new version of Pong in 3D and high textures where Pong had a gun and loads of baddies came at him and he had to save the world from pink elephants...then maybe.
