Chris, get rid of Alex's post pleae, thanks?

As for the old 'I don't have enough money, so it's OK to steal it' theory, that's about as sensible as saying that because you can only afford a second-hand Capri, it's OK to go steal a top-of-the-range Dodge Viper. Go make some money, or do without.

What you're doing is like, say, walking into the Sony Store, taking a look at some top-end entertainment system, and then asking the manager if he knows a simple way to sneak it out of the store.

Stupid, no?

Lol, nice comparison :)

I believe a license should be required before one is allowed to use a computer. This would conserve space, bandwidth, and keep idiots like Morpheus off of the board.

Alternately, a license could also be a requirement before one is alloed to breed. This cuts short all manner of problems, idiots like Morpheus included.

GREAT idea. There's just one problem. It's a solution logically, but what do you do when people break the law and breed without a license? Kill them, along with their illegal families? Sure, you could do that, but you'd have human-rights groups battering down your door within the week.

This is yet another example of why, in government, what's broken tends not to get fixed, and what's fixed really wasn't broken to begin with, generally speaking. Legislators aren't in the business of making laws, they're in the business of politics i.e. making the most people agree with what you do, no matter how crazy it is. Even if you know it's crazy. And because smart people use birth control or abstinence and less intelligent people don't, or do so less effectively, there are continually more and more people genetically disposed to be less intelligent. (And their environment pushes that direction, too.) So more and more voting people do so based on erroneous ideas.

Can you tell I hate politics?

I'd kill the unlicensed parents, their idiotic children, and any misguided human rights activists who tried to get in my way.

Don't take a shower for a week, get a tin can, sit on a street corner.  I'd guess maybe an afternoon would get you enough ;)

*sighs deeply and shakes her head*
Go buy the game like everyone else.

What dumb people ask for these kind of things on the OFFICAL game forum? I mean... Dosn't it take some amount of IQ to use a computer and use the internet?

"Dosn't it take some amount of IQ to use a computer and use the internet?"

In a word? No.

Not since they came out with books titled "Internet for Dummies" and similar.

They're literal.

At least he was told to go use Kazaa, which contains either 3 or 4 known pieces of spyware (I can't remember which).

Enjoy your warez-ed copy of Uplink, pal, I'll be seeing the contents of your C drive soon.

(1st part is true.  2nd part, sadly, is me just dreaming ;))
