windows, loved to play with linux, but that would mean playing while working, i doubt the ceo would like that :)

on my 100Mhz i run Linux Debian 2.2 , my 400Mhz dual-boots with linux slackware 8 and win98SE , then my gateway 1,4 Ghz is running win2K , my old 166Mhz is dead but used to run linux redhat :)

It doesn't run on one of my machines, so I think I'll install linux on it so I can play uplink.

you must be ******* joking if you think i run linux. about half my devices are incompatible with it and there are basically no games for it. yes ok, uplink is for linux and a few others. but i haven't seen a game in a shop for linux - there maybe where you live, that's not the point. i'm going off games though and may change to linux when i upgrade to some super compatible stuff. if i had to choose a distribution, it would be slackware - it has no bull****, unlike redhat or mandrake - might as well have windows if you use those. i use windows 2000 - i'm comfortable with it and it does all the things i need. nice stable and again no bull****.

I run linux slackware on one of my computers. Have Win2k on this one and 3.11 on a old 33Mhz for the classic games.

Linux - SuSE 7.2

Hey A, why don't you post what hardware you have?  Maybe I can help suggest a distro you could give a try that does have good hardware support.

On my 450 PII i dual boot Windows 98SE and Redhat 7.1, on my 1.5 i run XP... sweet looking OS i must say
