It is widely beleived that these screencaps were leaked from an installation in the deep future- perhaps even as far as 2740. The photos were provided by an anonymos source, though it is widely beleived to have come from the hacker himself.
More information on this flavor of defcon pending.

Been very busy making a mod list (which includes this one), hence the no-reply.
It looks great, it really does! Has to be one of the most deviant graphics-mods yet, I think
~ It really looks great, there's no way you're allowed to stop making it!
... Don't let others decide what you should or should not do, though!

I just see it as nobody being interested, perhaps even disgusted, that I defaced Defcon this badly.
So if nobody's interested, why would I bother wasting time posting threads that nobody comments on?
I'll prolly finish this myself since I like the direction I'm taking, but if nobody appreciates me sharing my work then I might as well not post it altogether...

Brilliance
When I came across the icon files, the reason I thought they were greyed out was because the game only read files in black and white- the level of grey determined how transparent it was. The only clue that this wasn't necissarily the case was the mouse rollover files- the red click button.
So I colorized the .gui icons, and this was the result.
Now all I need is to find a way to edit the rollover state to change it from that blue aura. Not likely to happen however, as I think it's coded in-game.
Progress.

It is my ardent hope that this will be the choice of graphics for Defcon for many players... Aside from kinetic this is my favorite work of mine so far.
