Bitcoin to buy IV games
Bitcoin to buy IV games
Have you ever thought of accepting "also" Bitcoin as payment for your games?
You should give a look at the usual market of drugs/weapons and other bad things, which is the most common currency? How mush is the size of these common markets? ( amount of money )Cooper42 wrote:Utilising a form of currency primarily associated with the sale of illegal drugs...
Double thumbs up!

Really? How long has that been the case? Seems rather silly considering all Bitcoin transactions are public, unless you go to the effort of owning multiple purses and getting a few people to operate a money laundering purse/service or two and don't mind not seeing your Bitcoins for a while.

The bitcoin client makes generating new addresses very easy, so having hundreds of addresses (and thus many pseudonymous identities) isn't terribly hard. Also, there are (or, were when I last looked at bitcoin) some money laundering services.
Saying that, there have been some studies showing that linking multiple addresses together to a single pseudonymous identity is possible, e.g. linking all the receiving addresses of the drug store together to get a global picture of their cashflow.
GENERATION 22:The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.
My post wasn't meant to refute the idea it's connected with drugs btw, I was just replying to Montyphy saying that using bitcoins for drugs would be silly since it's public.
First thing that jumps to my mind is massive price instability, second is drugs

The price instability is a good point, but they ( IV devs ) can simple convert it to their preferred currency instantly.
1) Set a price in euro/usd/other
2) Then show ( also ) a dynamic bitcoin price on the shop, it can be updated every minutes. ( with exchanger API )
3) Users will pay the price in Bitcoin, IV will convert them at the same time ( with exchanger API )
From the user point of view, it doesn't change anything.
If he want to pay with usual currency, he still be able to do it ... if he want to use Bitcoin, he will be also

I just come back to give you an example:
The minimal transaction fee is 0.0005 BTC ( or even lower ) for every transactions.
The actual value of 1 BTC is $4.92.
So you will pay $0.00246 for a transaction of $1000 ( 203.25 BTC )
Try to compare this to paypal fees ( or other payment processors )
It's good also for micro-transactions, think about gold/gift market on mmorpg ore anything like them!
I give you some good links about this project:

I'm a bitcoin enthusiast, but anyway I think you should give a look a this new technology
