Let's go.........RANDOM!
Don't Be Afraid of the Dark was quite good. Fun, scary monsters; good sense of humour; &c. My only complaint is that the librarian is a bit too convenient (that really isn't a spoiler, and a recently released study indicates that even if it were, it wouldn't ruin your enjoyment). Otherwise, a fun little horror flick.
In other news, why are they remaking Creature from the Black Lagoon and The Thing?

So, I watched Despicable Me on TV last night, and it was... interesting.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the movie, but I honestly do not recall the last time I saw a movie so thin. You could probably edit the trailers together and get pretty much the whole movie, and be more than able to guess what would happen in the parts that were missing. And while there are a load of characters, most have little more than a couple scenes if that, the relations between most of them are pretty vague beyond the obvious, and what little character development there is takes place in a grand total of two or three scenes.
However what made it so interesting was this: This felt, a lot, like a movie someone wanted to make for their kids.

I agree, I don't think the movie really deserved the acclaim it got.Xocrates wrote:So, I watched Despicable Me on TV last night, and it was... interesting.

Some people talk because they have something to say. Others talk because they have to say something.
