I would gather that's incorrect. The more likely scenario is you haven't trained yourself to type properly and/or don't have the patience to focus on the task at hand.

Yeah, here's the explanation:
alot is incorrect, even though many people use it. Always, and I mean ALWAYS, a lot is the correct way to write it.
altho isn't a word - it's "although".
