Behold my creation and be AMAZED

Postby Xocrates » Thu Apr 29, 2010 12:07 am

Once in a while, a great work emerges, which dares to redefine it's genre. Today it one of those days, for today I bring forth my latest creation:

9.8

A videogame so astounding it makes everything else made so far seem a sketch by a 6 year old.
Valve? Blizzard? Pah! Amateurs I say! For in one mere week I've created a work so amazing it puts them to shame.

You can get it from this page

Went past the second boss, and tried to exit the game. The game crashed with "First-chance exception at 0x00402d0c in 9.8.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0xff000004." according to Visual Studio(have no idea why it's handling crashes now...).

Interesting game.

For me, it just doesn't run. It does its loading thing and then spits out some crap about an unexpected error. I'd love to give more detail than that, but I'd also love the game to have done the same.

Finished. It's very nice. I love how you handled the fifth dimension. Very well made.

Hmm... No idea why the game may be crashing. You two fellows are the only ones so far with problems (not counting Rabidzombie. His case was "special") my guess is that one of your drivers or somesuch has problems with gamemaker, which is itself odd since the requirements for that are pretty low.

Well Mas has a laptop that was built in the Stone Age so you know it's not all that surprising. Hehe.

Game made me think I might get around to buying VVVVVVV after all.

Stuck on one level where you have to switch back and forth, grr!

Edit: Nm, got that one.

I've also got Mas's unexpected error. This is not a plain GM incompatibility, as I've never had problems with GM games before. (played all of Remar's games, plus my brother makes stuff in Game Maker)

I was wondering what all this 9.8 business was. I'm downloading now.

Pretty nice! Quite a few puzzles that are rather demanding on my reflexes , but luckily, death is not a big deal in this game... just try again! :3
