Tsom Kal xander!

I don't know if you celebrate the holiday, I figure if you do it's probably more for cultural reasons, but in any case I figured I'd wish you an easy one!

Well, I'm not Jewish, but I do observe the day (as it's not a "Jewish" day).

So shortly after I posted that a friend of mine called up and said she wanted to go out, so out we went. She's a practicing Jew, so since she's fasting already it made it a bit difficult to find something to do in a small town such as this. I felt bad, usually I try to at least buy the girl a dessert, but it just wasn't happening this time. Oh well, next time.

Is it Yom Kippur already? My, how the year has gone by.

For the record, I generally don't celebrate Jewish holidays (or any holidays, for that matter). I have, on several years, enjoyed the Seder, but now that my grandfather is dead, that is not likely to happen again. I will also occasionally get together with some friends for the feast days (Purim is one of my favorites), but even that is uncommon for me.

Darn, I just found out that a good friend of mine (as missionaries I was his trainer (missionaries also jokingly use the terms father and son for this relationship), which means that I was his first companion in the field and the one responsible for teaching him how to be a missionary) and his wife have split up. They've been married for about 18 months, having dated before he went on his mission and staying committed to each other throughout the two years. I really thought that of all the couples out there, that they would make it.

You're in Idaho. The only state that is cared for less is Wyoming (since there's only 4 people there). I somehow doubt that you'll get a new AWB under Obama ;)

You're from Wyoming? Really?! Wow, you're the first person I've ever spoken to from Wyoming in any capacity.

Also congratulations!

From a web comic: Least I Could Do

Image

Amazingly apt.

Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears, abstinence, fail.
Ashley and Jessica Simpson, abstinence, fail.
Sarah Palin's daughter, abstience, fail.

They'll have sex regardless of what you teach them, wouldn't you rather teach them facts rather then lies? That way they have less chance of pregnancy and STIs.

Hi, I'm kind of new. I've lurked some. Some may recognise me from MW.

Additionally, onions.

For your collective edification, E rac is my brother. He is kinda newby, but he has potential.
He is quite familiar with the Dar/Multiwinia engine, and, Icepick willing, he will be helping me test.

Given the amount of exposure he has to the forums through me, he will recognize many of you. He also has me to police him, so he'll be unlikely to be entirely annoying.
