There isn’t much of a background story to this game, although I didn’t feel it was needed, as the gameplay itself was enough to satisfy the need for a story.

If you’re like me and have always had trouble getting in to RTS games but you like the genre anyway (is that specific enough?) then I think Multiwinia is a great place to start. The game mechanics are very easy to understand, there’s not a lot of rules and commands to memorize and there’s not an overbearing amount of micromanagement.

I am still just completely sucked into this game. I have been playing it straight for 12 days. I was so excited when I saw something new from the Darwinian series. available for battle on the digital landscape.

Multiwinia is tight, fluid and really does march to its own beat. There is a lot to love here, every match is different, and it's an experience you will not find anywhere else.

Multiwinia er et intenst og heftig actionstrategispill. På overflaten virker det veldig enkelt, og derfor er det også lett å komme inn i spillet, men når du får øvelse finner du raskt ut at det har langt dypere taktiske muligheter enn du kanskje skulle tro.

Pour un peu moins de 20 EUR, Multiwinia est un excellent jeu dans la même veine que DEFCON : idéal pour se faire quelques parties multi vite fait.

ist immer noch der Grafikstil. Wie auch in Darwinia wackeln die Strichmännchen durch die eckige Computerlandschaft und können durch gute Explosions- und Leuchteffekte überzeugen. Das Ganze wirkt immer noch sehr witzig und erinnert an die Computerwelt aus „Tron“.

Multiwinia est un STR rapide et ultra-nerveux. Les adeptes de la micro-gestion en seront pour leur frais. Pas d’arbre technologique, ni de centre de recherche pour améliorer le blindage de vos tanks et encore moins de bâtiments de production à upgrader.

Anyway looks like the reviews seem to be fairly plentiful and positive. I'm just wondering why metacritic only has 3 of them though.

Metacritic only count really bad reviews to inflate the prevalence of the colour red. It fits better with their design.

IIRC, their school system uses 0..20 (or 1..20, dunno) for grades, higher numbers being better.

That's right. 0 to 20. 10/20 is the average grade. 14/20 is a very good grade.

Still not many big magazine reviews . I guess that review copies weren't sent out to magazines and stuff until virtually release date? I'd have expected at least PC Gamer to possibly get an early review.
