old topics being bumped *question*
Well done. Backing down is the more mature option. We don't care too much about your age or intelligence. Besides which, for all you know above average could be rather low here. Think about the kind of games we're playing: One glorified puzzle game, 3 RTS games, and whatever the hell Subversion turns out to be. Far from a haven for the ungifted, yes?

And yet consider some of the posts we've seen in our time here. Beno and his forums, and flying planes anyone?

The fact you posted that means that Mas Tnega's post regarding you is now null and void. Congratulations, you have made yourself into the idiot here. You should have just let it go....

I could never forget. He was also one of the idiots that thought DHCP made him untraceable. gosox, you have just lost any and all respect I had for you.
I guess I am not experienced enough with these forums to judge newcomers.
I'll leave it to the veterans next time.

Oh no, he fucked up alright. Why? Well as agreed if adding something useful is fine. He didn't.
He also then threatened another member of the forums. Suffice to say his time here is likely limited.

I'm oh so tempted to post something in that topic, but I guess I'll just do what I planned on doing (and what everyone else here also seems to be thinking): quietly waiting for him to go away.
gosox, if you're reading this, you shouldn't.

Gosh, he doesn't seem to know when to stop does he? -_- I don't understand how new people are able to blunder so much, when I first started on the internet (back when I was 12) I was so timid that I read all the rules at least twice before I joined a place and always lurked long periods to get a feel for the community before I even considered joining a place.
I also never understood how people could write so badly on the internet, I mean, aren't they taught how to write in school? Then again, people don't seem to take school so seriously anymore.... I weep for my generation.

According to most profesors at my collego: no we aren't taught how to write properly in any schooling we had before college. And yet these are the same profesors that in there notes seem to leave out a word on every page.

But this thread should be left to rot so we can bump it again in four years and all have a good laugh and reminisce about the old days.

Well, actually, we got taught grammar and spelling in High School because our teacher was from America and she was horrified that no-one seemed to know how to spell or use grammar and punctuation properly (though I was better at it than most, I knew what words like certainly meant....), but generally spelling doesn't seem to be considered too important in schools anymore you are right zjoere.
The amount of times I've heard my fellow final year students say to the teacher "does spelling matter" makes me want to cry. >_<

The problem isn't if our old (or current) teachers taught us to speak and write properly. The problem is taken the time to double check your work! The internet has plenty of online spell checkers and there are web browsers that even have built in spell checkers. I am one of the members here that can't spell nor write properly, with no education or morals. I've been smacked around a little for my actions as well. But I still try to be respectful while I also try to get my question answered.
Your not going to get respect as a person on the internet, everyone is here to present their own ideas and create a differnence from what they see in the happeneings of everyday life. The same person who shook your hand for saving his life could turn around and call you a, tweleve year old kid with no intellegnece, on the internet.
But all of that being said. Does not mean you can not be civil and respectful to others in here. We (most of us) are still God fearing humans here and I have seen alot of people here actaully helping others in real life. So I know for a fact we have decent people here. Most are willing to go the extra mile to help you with something as long as what you need help with is meaningful.
Now I will sit back and watch one of my first serious posts be scrutinised by the best.
[Editied for misspelling!!] heh
