YES, the whining woman....

The music in DEFCON is great, I like it, I also like the background sounds. But one background sound so annoys me.. I hate it everytime I hear it. The whining woman in the background destroys the whole game feeling for me.

Is there a way to delete this bitch?

She's not "whining", those are in fact the racking sobs of a survivor as she stumbles blind, burnt, and dying through the radioactive wasteland that just 2 hours ago was her happy home town. The town that YOU just hit with half a dozen warheads.

The SFX are the best part of the game IMO. They add a feeling of realism and personal responsibility. They put the thought into the back of your mind "Hey, I'm causing people in this here game world to feel like this".

Oh, but you can. The game sees to that. No matter how many tens of meters of concrete you have between you and the glass crater that used to be your capital city, you can still hear the cries and sobs of your victims...

i'm assuming the SFX are there because, in a REAL nuke war, there'd be com uplinks with cities across the regions. And you're hearing that over the intercom.

Im supreme leader, Im busy nuking the damn (insert your favourite enemy), I don't have time to stop and actually think about peoples feelings! Anyway once the war is over, myself and a few other leader buddies of mine are off to moonbase alpha for drinks and a game of cards, who's coming?
