Uplink:
Raise your loan to 4000.
Don't bother with any Trace Tracker beyond v2.
Log Deleter v4. Go fetch.
Skip any mission that requires you to copy/delete more than one file.
In fact, don't even do copying missions. The money you spend on Decrypter could go just about anywhere else.
If you can't afford someting you need, ask for all the money until they cough up.
You can do most of the missions on the starting hardware.

Oh wait, that was my TERMINAL speed-run guide. Never mind.
