-My- Defcon Release Party

So yeah, I've been around on these forums for ages and I've never had anything worthy of posting as a new thread. But now I sort of do. Or not. You decide ^^.

I'm having some friends (and their computers!) over on Saturday and Sunday and we plan to play Defcon, we have all ordered our copies. There should be 6 of us so yeah, I for one are looking foward to 6 player Defcon mayhem. My friends have several bets on for 'if I beat you' and vice versa. All in all it should be thouroughly enjoyable. And yes, I am a nerd .

I was wondering if anyone else has a similar event on the cards?

I have been trying to get some friends to play but they are all lame...I don't get it...they keep asking me to find quick and fun multi games and I've found one, for $9.99 no less, but they just poo poo the game....well, less fun for them.

Other than that, trying to get in on the tourney so I can play with some live people.

me and my brother have been waiting for a game like this ever since we saw wargames years ago, so on friday we 're gonna have a few celebration matches for the game finally coming out. I remember when wargames the actual game came out and we thought it was gonna be like defcon but instead it was just a strategy game like red alert....was gutted lol

Tried to get my friends to buy the game, but they say that the screenshots look insane (in the negative way). They always ask me to find quick, simple and fun 4-6 man multiplayer games we can play at lans and stuff. Now I find them a GREAT, and _cheap_ LAN game, and they just neglect it... geez ... Hard to lure them away from world of warcraft it appears.. Sadly.
