Don't know if this already is somewhere on the forums, but at least I'm not bumping old topics like this.
I just saw the movie WarGames (awesome by the way) and I noted one of the last things the computer says:
"Strange game. The only winning move, is not to play."
Am I the only thinking that Introversion actually has the possibility to build up tension about a game, with that goal, i.e. you actually won't be able to play, you'll just be able to see that text on the screen? It would be incredibly mean, an unthinkable, but it is possible.
Anyway, just stumbled upon it, and wanted to hear if you got anything to say about it?
(Somehow I feel this topic shouldn't have been created.)

Um, this may just be me misunderstanding but did you just suggest that Introversion releases a "game" which displays the text "Strange game. The only winning move, is not to play." on the screen while making players think if they wait long enough they might get to play Defcon?
yeah, something like that. Don't know how I came to think of it. Problably just because I'm to tired.
I really doubt that Introversion would do that, but it would make a nice aprils-fool, at least if the game was released on 1st of april.
SuVir, I know everything.
(Sorry about spelling errors, if any)

yeah, more or less. Actually, I was just thinking about a black screen, with the text "Strange game. The only winning move is not to play". But including movieclips from when W.O.P.R. plays the game, and then ending with the text, and a link is a great idea.
It is great that war is so terrible... Otherwise, we may get to fond of it...
