Pre-orders now accepted

Postby Chris » Thu Jan 20, 2005 5:23 pm

We are very pleased to announce that we are now accepting pre-orders for Darwinia. Visit our Store to pre-order your copy now! We can take payment through Worldpay Secure Payment, or through Paypal. You will be asked for just one address - please give us your Delivery address so we know where to send the game.

Pre-orders will be dealt with in priority to normal orders from our website. The official release date for Darwinia is 4th March. We will be shipping the pre-orders before then, aiming for the boxed copies to reach people on or around that day.

Phase 2 testers will of course be receiving Free copies for their help in testing the game. These copies will be treated the same as pre-orders...hopefully you'll receive your copy on 4th March.

We should have a public playable demo of Darwinia ready for download within the next few days. Exciting times!

Wow, we Americans definitely get the best deal price wise. (£29.99 == $56) :)

Damn your weak dollar :(

It's going to 'cost us' thousands... ...but who's going to pay $56 for a PC game? (present company excluded of course ;-) )

Are you guys going to make any attempt to be at the IGDC this year? It would be cutting it close for the date, probably... I bet you would get a load of preorders there though.

For a second when ordering, I thought it was a screenshot of my Darwinia Green Avatar pic :P

Yay!!!!!

These are exciting times. I just feels sorry for the Phase 2 Testers who have already finished it and won't get quite the same excitement come March 4th as the rest of us. I'm just hoping I have my new PC built by then. (I don't think Darwinia will work very well on this 512mb, 1GHz, Radeon VE pile of crap. It may as well be made from string and jam jar lids.)
I might not be playing it until mid-march, but it'll be there on my shelf, shrink-wrapped. Waiting. And probably being dreamt about by me.

Hmmm... now should I buy a second so I can keep it in shrink wrapping??? Then in 10 years time, I sell it for double on Ebay!

*cough*Your CPU is running faster than mine, and you have the same amount of RAM as I do. I have no idea how good the graphics card is. *splutter*
