Call for Uplink Beta Testers

Postby John » Mon May 29, 2006 10:17 am

We're currently doing a round of maintenance and bug-fixing to Uplink. We've already been testing a patch to the full game, but we think it would be helpful to widen the net to people who have never played Uplink before.

If you would be interested in helping to test Uplink, especially if you have not played it before, please sign up here.

Your help is, as always, much appreciated.

Edit: Windows users only for now.

Now there's something I never thought I'd see again.

So, how does this relate to the 1.31a patch?

And will you be using the newer interface libraries? Like darwinia's better windows and such.

Will you kill me for being so inquisitive?

Find out in the next episode of "Introversion Beta Testing", the brand new drama.

Is this Win32 only, or Win32/Mac/Linux?

(I'm assuming it'll be Win32 only, given that the patch is, but if not I could push it on other people :P )

/me points out that that still has some form of graphics adapter

ASCII as it is, I doubt it works too well on, say, a printer :P .

/me amends his previous comment to say "an Uplink-supported computer", or "modern desktop computer", since the term "computer" is far too broad

Being overly pedantic as you are, he could have just a video card, not a graphics card. There used to be a diffrenece, but since everyone blended the terms, there's none anymore. However, a video card had no 3D capabilities, and could only display 2D objects. My old laptop had a video card rather than a graphics card.
