Maybe Sfcon should have a registration so only whitelisted members are allowed to join as spectators.

A lot of work but a good old idea. Maybe not only for specs, better a full white list for players and specs. But how to mange it over a longer time? Maybe only for the password/tourney servers then?

I know you can do it without cheating but you cant see if somone cheat or not

and i support that cheating is cheap and in tourney games i will show no mercy if i find that someone do it

if you dont like it ask for that at the beginning of a game or lets do a tourney with rules you happy with
you can make rules for some server or some tourney that should be enough
if someone think he has to get happy while cheating ok
he just cut him at self in the end

I tested it but I think they only change when redownloading. If a trusted member has to reinstall they can simply send their new key.

I have strong doubts about whitelisting. It needs constant managment and the whitlelisted group will probably tend to become inactive quickly until it eventually dies. Also it would be my task then to manage it, and thats a horrifying imagination.

But it's a solution, if there would be a big enough group demanding it, I would do it.

Maybe we should try to play without a whitelist then and for the next tourney we could add a new rule like killing silos blind is allowed but only 2 silos or something like that?
And scouted silos are still destructible!

Yea well Defcon has changed A LOT, not like what it use to be. Get 2-4 great games a night. Now I am lucking if I get 1 decent game every 3 days.
