General Ivan Ban

Can someone please tell me why General Ivan has been banned and for how long plz? We regularly meet on the servers and he's always a good sport. He wants to know also; must be a compelling reason for sure.

Bans on sfcon are permanent and can only be canceled by me manually. I will check for the case.

I meant:
I cannot find a ban entry about him; G.Ivan is not banned on sfcon servers.

In case I made a mistake and he is banned, tell me.

Ivan informed me he receives a 'Kicked by server' error whenever he tries to join.

I am not sure, but shouldnt the message for ban be banned?

It could be due to high ping, then the server will kick you automatically.

To help me to figure if I made a mistake, could Ivan tell me his current (the IP he tries to connect from)IP adress. His keyID is not banned, I am sure of.

Also, since nobody said so, we are talking about sfcon servers? Cause I am only in charge of those.

Aye, he said SFCON. I'll ask him for the IP address next time I see him and pass it on to you. He says his forum account has an 'inactive password' and that he can't get on (not sure why he can't just reactivate it though).

Yes. The messages you can display are hardcoded on the client, custom messages are not supported. I picked that one for bans because it was the closest match.

This is just on sfcon right? You should be unbanned from quake.

Found the ban entry and removed it.
