I've always been an avid fan of Introversion since Uplink and when I found out about Defcon today, I bought it immediately off the website store. I wish they had a donation paypal because I'd donate money as well. The games are always polished, low-requirements (compared to other major games), and being able to see MAC/Windows/Linux releases just makes me all that more loyal.

So..in other words, I've already bought my copy!

Got it off Steam.

Yes, I know, I am one of those "steam scum" who found out about the game from Steam and was not a long-time Introversion fan beforehand, but now I have all three Introversion games in my Steam account, so consider me loyal! Please? 8)

Will buy it off the Introversion site, as soon as i get an answer to the "limited availability" issue.

Edit: Thanks, xander! Just preordered, order number 765X.

Preordered from IV. I've never liked digital download services, and I hate PDF manuals, so I'll pay quite a bit more for a permanent boxed copy and a paper manual (even if it's only a few pages long).

Oh, and more money for IV, which is always a good thing.

Good to see we've had such a big response in such a short time. I ordered off steam just because i like the fact i can log into steam at one of my friends houses and play it easily. Its v.annoying because ive only just looked into the game and noticed how unique and interesting it looks, and therfore didnt have chance to apply for the beta. I would really like to have the boxed copy and be able to apply it to my Steam account, that would be brill. Is it confirmed that thats not possible?

Regards,
ChaZ

Ordered via steam. I have a tendancy to loose cd/dvds, so having it this way means I know where I put it.

I had ordernumber 716X so that means that some 500 people have probably pre-ordered it through the IV website until now

PS: Why do you guys censor 1 or 2 numbers out of the ordernumber? Can someone malicious do something with wrong with that number?

I am looking foward to this game.
I preordered off of Steam, it's easier for me, plus I didn't know you could preorder off of this site (didn't know this site existed until a few minutes ago).
