Kickstart Defcon DS

Postby TGR » Sat May 12, 2012 4:10 am

Saw an article today whch showed Jason Rohrer using Kickstarter as a means to publish his completed game "Diamond Trust Of London". At the moment
it looks like the game has a good chance of being funded to enable small batch production. This got me thinking of Defcon DS - yet again. It would be great to see IV try out a platform like Kickstarter
to revive Defcon DS and enable them to go to physical production.

Anyway, have a look at the kickstarter:

I would put money into a Kickstarter for a 3DS, DS, or Wii U version of Defcon (or any Introversion game..except Uplink as it really requires a keyboard). Plus, with the networking abilities of the 3DS and Wii U, it would be cool to have things like video, audio, or picture chat. Plus it could allow for local and internet multiplayer (multiple 3DS's or 2 Wii U Tablets). I really like the idea of having my region on a small touch screen while having the world on the TV like it was "The Big Board"

Seriously guys, advertise a Kickstarter project, and we will back you.

You know, I can think of a lot worse things to do than playing Defcon on a touchpad, but none of them are legal in the US.
