new game mode:population grow
i think a game mode where your population can grow would be fun.
1. possibility: your pop grows the same amount u hit other players pop. either your cities grow proportional or every hit to others citys gives the pop to a random city of u. +1 for kills and -1 for death might work best. You will need to attack and to defend, which may lead to new strategies.
2. possibility: your pop grows by itself. It has a birth rate. So bigger pops grow faster. +1 for kill -2 for death makes u wanna protect ur civ, but the later the game the more value has an attack.
This just came to my mind and here is the place to tell it.

You must be new to the Internet. Welcome :P
No, he knows exactly what you were saying, and was trying to politely chide you into being a good citizen of the boards here by letting you know that we don't generally like those kinds of abbreviations here. You are obviously a bit to dense to have figured that out, so let me explain it to you: if it is worth writing, it is worth writing in full. Don't use fucking 1337 or txtspk. They are annoying, hard to read, and immediately give the impression that you are an immature teenage twit.
Welcome to the boards.

I understood what he said, but he also understood me. His question was just ironic and so was my answer.
And as you can see, i am already enforcening myself to write correctly (you can see that in my 1st post too), but these shortcuts keep slipping out of my fingers.
Dont nitpick! Thats bad style. Offending too! ("dense" pffff)

The problem I see with the population growth in option 1 is that it would imbalance the game. Let me explain:
Suppose Asia blasts Russia to pieces, and thus has their population swelled. They just spent quite a bit of effort, time, and most important, nukes, in acquiring those points. NA then attacks them, and because the Asian cities are now much larger NA requires less nukes to gain nearly the same amount of points, while meaning that Asia has significantly more points to lose.
There is therefore an inherent disadvantage to attacks in enemy cities until you are sure that no one can strike back at you. Since the game would boil down to attacking military targets, the only real points to be had would be in the last few minutes. While it is a valid and useful tactic for default games, having an entire game mode revolve around it seems boring to me.

a most likely szenario
it applies to the 2nd option aswell. The population grows exponential. since it just grows the points your enemy can get and you can loose, its probably a bad idea.
If your score rises with ur total population, early attacking would give you highest benefit of exponential grow rate.
