Not sure this may have beenbrought up before but anyway.
Would conventional forces, (land sea and air) improve gameply. Nothing would make a European player more nervous than the threat of soviet tanks? Similar for other land linked nations. That way some objectives could be achieved without the use of nukes, people would be able to concentrate nuclear power of harder targets.

Regardless, the answer is the same - i.e. no and search.
No, for the same reason that you can't build new silos in game - The entire war takes about 8 hours, and how far into europe could soviet tanks get into europe in 8 hours? :p

Hey. Just joined but have been a reader of the forum for about a year now. What if conventional forces were like ships except they could travel over land? Imagine Bships = Tanks/infantry, Subs = Scuds/Mobile Launchers, Carriers = ????
Would be a fun addition to the game. Maybe not completely realistic but fun.

1) Don't bump old topics.
2) Search before posting.
3) Check the modlist -- what you suggest has already been done to the extent that it will ever be done.

"Beating a dead horse" is an idiom that means a particular request or line of conversation is already foreclosed, mooted, or otherwise resolved, and any attempt to continue it is futile. In British English and Australian English, the phrase is usually expressed as "flogging a dead horse".
