Since fighters have such short fuel ranges I think tankers would be usefull to refuel fighters they could be lanch from carries and air bases 1 on carries and 3 on air bases a tanker lanch from a carrier could refuel 2 fighters or 1 bomber no transport planes (second paragraph) or 1 of each. A tanker lanch form an air base could refuel 4 fighters or 3 bombers or one tranport plane and the tanker could have the same range as a bombers but wont have to travel as far but half way so it coukd refuel the plane on its way back to for fighters on there way there
On defcon there is no ground warfare which kinda sucks trops would be harder to create but tanks would be easyer one tank could equal 6 sonit takes up less space and for territories far apart like NA and russia air bases could have 2 transport planes with medium range could carry a certain number of tanks or other ground warfare units to a drop zone then drop the units then go back to the air base a tanker could follow the transport plane about half way refuel the transfer plane the return to the air base the as the transport plane is coming back another tanker could be lanch and refuel the the transport plane ten the could both land
Also ground warfare units could travel on territories that is not being used beacuse transport planes would be slow like bombers and tankers
why isn't they any ground warfare and fuel tankers

It has been explained many times that ground warfare is a bad idea, here for example:

It is an old and redundant topic that has been debated many times (and I have even seen it get debated on steam forums too). But long story short, it wouldn't work in general.

Ok so no ground warfare but what about tankers I dont see why these wouldn't work especially with fighters such short fuel ranges and some times if you send a bomber to a far away target huch as from the top right of North America to Moscow they run out of fuel before they can return

Well there is an alternative for fighters, it is where you "chain" a link of refuel points with carriers, with airbases being point A, and your main battle fleet with your main carriers being point B. Having a couple of carriers acting as a midway point helps link the two long distances helps link the two points and is useful when in long range battles like the Pacific, as now your not having to sail all the way back to your waters to restock on fighters. Same can be applied for bombers so you do not send them on a one-way trip across the map. Know that fighters spawn at bases every 15 minutes in game time (i think) provided that there isn't 5 fighters already stocked at that said base.
For bombers, you do know you have bombers on carriers to sail closer to the target so the bombers can stage shorter runs. Just get in close enough and provide some fighter escorts. If you can't, use subs and silos, but preferably subs if you have not used all 12.
Basically, carriers are fuel tankers in a sense if you think about it.
Re: why isn't they any ground warfare and fuel tankers
that does not work if you are trying to scout a territory all in all I think a tanker would just be more convenient

Well, if wishes were horses, you beggars would ride.

The source code is available for purchase in the Introversion store. If you think that you have better answers to questions that were debated seven or eight years ago, have fun.

Maybe instead of complaining about the fuel, you can invoke a little bit of strategy like the rest of us. Put your carriers closer and you wont have to worry about refuel.

I was going to say before refreshing the page, that tankers would remove some of the strategy elements of this game, and it will end up less challenging, with people hanging way back from half way around the map and being laid back. Also as i have said, fighters do re-spawn, plus carriers can act as a courier and refuel point from Point A (airbase) to point B (being your main carriers).

And...

Just face it man, fighters may not have the big fuel tankers you want, but all you need is a bit of micro-management and to get in close enough and you will be fine.
Re: why isn't they any ground warfare and fuel tankers
Fighter chains were the hardest thing for me to learn in this game (in so far as the patience, memory, and all around micromanagement necessary to make them effective), so I can sympathize with 06simmons...but only until he starts whinging about the game being inconvenient.
That said, I've long been a proponent of any hypothetical sequel to Defcon (however unlikely that sequel is to see the light of day) contain more ground units. Marine/Spec Ops to be dropped off near enemy territory to run sabotage missions or scouting, very short range Pershing-style missiles for quick strikes over a border or coastal defense, paratroopers that camp out in neutral or enemy territory to provide ground-based AA fire for your bomber runs or shooting down enemy bomber runs...that sorta thing. You'd have to keep it relatively small and quick though. This is after all, nuclear warfare, and it's supposed to "all be over" in a few hours at most.
