Travel Times / ETA
SO...would it be prohibitive when giving a movement order to have the travel time / eta painted next to the target marker?

It's all part of the fun.
It probably wouldn't be "prohibitive," in the sense that the game could probably be made to do it, but it would alter the gameplay a bit. It would make it easier to sync nuke launches or bomber waves, and it would remove some of the skill need to manage fleets. I don't see any kind of ETA markers ever entering the game, but I have been wrong before. Stupid Icon based UI in Darwinia! I shall never forgive IV for that! :(
