What this game needs most is a Replay/Record mode...

For those who haven't noticed, bert's Dedicated server now supports this - so any game played on a dedicated server could potentially be recorded.

Considering the hundreds of synchlogs and their data we all have in our defcon directories that are needed to allow spectators to join and catch up to a game (and watch it in very fast speed if they close the synching box) must be able to put to some use in showing a visual record/replay of a game...surely...i don't know the data within the synch logs but if they can be put through the defcon program to show gameplay when you're synching into a game to spectate then they must be able to be put to use some other way...potentially we'd all have hundreds of replays just waiting to be seen and remembered...oh the memories. (except those of you who deleted your synch logs ).

Im wondering if this is possible or completely impossible...either way i like a challenge *goes off to read his synch logs*.

EDIT: Having briefly read over some of the synch logs i have a record of hundreds of movements, targets, location pathways for every unit...i'm not sure if they're only mine or all players however...but i might be able to count how many defcon games i've played all together

Unfortunately dedcon stores games in what looks like a different format. For all I know, though, it could be the same data. Maybe one could be converted into t'other?
