I haven't read all the posts about game mods , so forgive jesus if he is repeating somebody elses idea. . . .
What about the possibillity of earning points for destroying silo's ,airbases , radar , ships and planes ?
nothing worse than putting in all the hard work of knocking out someones defences and just as you're about to drink thier blood , a stray nuke or two come in and wipe out half the population of said territory.

That is the primary objective.
All others are secondary. They might help win the game but unless you hit cities your score will be 0.
If you go to the trouble of destroying all facilities then you are wasting your nukes.

Lol, to the point but at least i know all my installations would be safe in a game with you

I almost always hit every single installation my radar comes in contact with and still manage to pull of a win here or there. You just have to be the one sending the stray nuke here and there along with destroying units.
Just a quick tip: If you're in a large multiplayer game, take out the "big" cities of your neighbor quickly while hitting his silos/bases/radar and the other players will most likely refocus their attack on somebody else, leaving you most of the medium/small cities. Then you can lay waste without competition. You do this not just for the points, but mostly for the psychological effect of making your opponent less of a "desirable" target for the rest. Kill an entire territories population, even those 1.4/2.1 etc cities, and you only need to hit one other territory once or twice to win regardless of what happens to your pop.
It's sorta like what Radiant means when he talks about nuking yourself in diplo/survivor games.

I've been trying a strategy where I ignore all other cities and go straight for the big ones only. So far it's been working. If you are the first to hit the big cities, you've essentially won. Those points will always be yours, even if you get pounded into submission. The other players would have to hit as much as you did to catch up.
Typically you want to hit:
Primay NA: New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles
Secondary NA: DC
Primary SA: Mexico City, Sao Paolo
Secondary SA: Lima, Santiago
Primary Europe: London
Secondary Europe: Kiev, Rome, Paris
Primary Russia: Moscow, Leningrad
Secondary Russia: lol
Primary Africa: Cairo, Kinshasa
Secondary Africa: Addis Ababa, Nairobi
Primary Asia: Tokyo, Hongkong, Seoul
Secondary Asia: Shanghai, all of India
The idea is to hit all of these cities (Except your own of course) as soon as you can. This means ignoring your defenses for the most part. Usually I will send groups of subs (3-4 usually) towards some of the target cities, send two groups of 12 carriers to another, then send my airforce to my neighbor. I save my silos for anyone I miss, or if I have to use them.

I actually got it from a very good player ingame. Don't know if he frequents these boards though. He got well over 500 in a game once. Very impressive.
