I've done a search, so please don't stab, shoot or nuke me for suggesting this if it's already been suggested or is already exists ingame beacuse then I'll feel REALLY stupid.
Anyhoo, my idea is a better way of knowing wether or not a sub is potentialy visible or not, I know that in different modes they surface they can be seen, but if I'm micromanaging everything else I'd like to see if they are surfaced or not, either by darker colours or whatever, so i can see if they are sitting ducks or not.
Another idea (just to put it out there), is the option to purposly raise my subs. This would result in a wider range of radar, but as normal the can be blown to bits easily in this state.
Any thoughts?

But that would only show you if the subs are surfaced to launch nukes. If you surface your subs, then submerge them, they are visible for some amount of time (120 seconds?). I think he is asking for a different color for that mode, i.e. the transition. Honestly, I am kind of indifferent to hostile to this idea. One of the challenges of Defcon is that you don't know what your enemies can see. From that perspective, I think you just have to figure it out on your own. On the other hand, the skipper of a sub ought to know when he is deep enough to not be seen on RADAR or whatever. So, as I said, I am kind of indifferent.
