Like many of the people that play defcon i've also had many ideas about the evolution of the game and what id like to see over the next 10 or so patches and have enjoyed playing with mods but i cant help but wonder...shouldnt there be a limit to how much should be changed with the game or is this simply natural?

I only pondered this after thinking that id like a way point system for my fleets...but then i thought...well...that would take away some of the fun (and frustration) of manually darting around the world map and putting my ships back on track...i also had the same thoughts when i thought about a mini map...but again i thought...well...defcon would be too easy...i find it nervously fun to hope that my opponents are looking at another section of the map when im taking out their fleets or launching with my subs. a little bit of lucky never hurt anyone :)

...im all for some new sounds and effects to the game; they do sound cool, but doesnt there come a time when we should stop polluting the natural source of what we've all come to know and enjoy with the game?

Yours Faithfully...a worried (if perhaps naive) conservative.
