Graphical glitch in the Russian territory zone.

Postby Nuke Me Slowly » Thu Oct 12, 2006 9:55 pm

I've noticed a graphical glitch in the Russian Territory file just where the map loops.

Here's an image to illustrate what I mean:

New Zealand also has the same problem, not much of a big deal, altough I don't understand why IV never fixed it, bit lazy on their part.

You could just edit the map yourself, i'm planing on doing that.

How would you edit away that? Because you're talking about the line going vertially though the map, right? It's where the map circles around, and you'll notice that line in-game as well in the map.

So if I fixed the .bmp it wouldn't cause any problems in multiplayer?

The problem is with the bmp underlay. You could clean that up a bit, and it would be fine. I don't care enough to do it, but it would take five minutes in the GIMP or Photoshop.

It would probably cause syncro errors.

Editing the terrority maps may cause sync errors, but the earth blur map is just a visual thing, should cause no problems editing it.

There is a line that runs through the background texture, because the two edges of the texture don't quite match up. That is a poor screenshot of it, but you can see it fairly well if you zoom in on New Zealand or the Bearing Straits.
