Quicksave/auto save option

Currently, if you briefly leave the app you will loose all progress if you haven't saved. Found this out the hard way when attempting to respond to a text... Maybe an option where if you leave the game, it automatically saves? Also just a small "save over latest save file" button would be great. Thanks!

I find the game stays on when i switch apps (ipad air 2)

I confirm having this issue also on iPad2.
I also made a first try to switch from 10 to 5mn auto-save without success.
Will try again.
edit:
I tried again. We don't see field when keyboard comes up, but I managed to change Timer.
