That's one sweet piece of hardware !! :D
But how would one generator failing with insufficient capacity, be saved by another gen with the same capacity?! And would'nt this need allot of space around prisons (I usually use 4 or 5 gens near max for my facilities)? Or do you use this beast only in your most essential sectors?
Or is it a way to catch peaks in a low cap sector with an electric chair by chance?

It's more to deal with things like events (fires in particular). Trixi has been experimenting with multiple failover circuits with multiple backup generators and hopefully he'll put up a guide with details; the way he's got it intelligently re-routing multiple circuits is pretty awesome.

well, yes its more against this events (fire of a power station), not against a failback with insufficient capacity.

But here is my backup with some logic gates, sorry in advannce for my terrible english:

That dual backup layout by Trixi is awesome. Definitely something I'm going to build in to my prisons from now on, the way it reroutes automatically is pretty spectacular.

Jeepers! Thanks for the infographics! Those are some complex wiring setups guys!

I have to admit to not even having played with events enabled, some of the events seemed very tedious to me. I like the generator and kitchen fires or workshop accidents, but the prisoner demands and simplicity of virus/deadly virus seem sucky to me. -I hope we get to mod (-out) events at some point!

When I first saw the schema with the logic (and-or) components I was worried that this was way too much wiring. But as I understand it now, the isolator now takes on their roles.. (am I right?)

Yes the isolator should behave like my 3 logic gates (the first for getting the signal i dont count)

And the piwerswitches you have to set manually.

I recommend to set up the logic anf backup cable far away from the generator. The cables aren't allowed to damage.

Important is that the doortimer in the same power line as generator after the right Power switch.

Maybe you could build your backup cable and logic at the right side of your prison and the main power at the left end.
