Materials sprites.png

Postby Ravenmad » Sat Jul 04, 2015 4:36 am

Hi all

I have been trying to make my first mod ever :) i have understood how to make objects and i am almost sure i have under stood how to make a new material, but, i am unable to get the game to read the sprites.png when i make the material mod. I can get the sprites.png to be read as an object and all works fine.
The material.txt is a copy of the concrete tiles from the game materials.txt with the name changed and the sprite position changed so the possition in the sprites.png will read the correct area.
I run the game 34a and all works apart from the sprite, the sprite that is shown is from the tileset.png from the main game and not the mod.

Am i doing something wrong or what ?

Cheers

Have you tried copying the tileset.png into your mod and then adding your sprite into it at an empty position?

Yeah i have copied the tileset.png and am using that as you say, but, was hoping i didn't have to do a copies of it and would be able to use a new .png for the mod. Oh well, i got it working anyway for now, lets hope someone has a better idea than using the tileset.png It'll be nice to have a sperate one for the materials mods.

Thanks for the reply Jaryd :)
