Floor tile issues.

Postby Croccers » Thu Oct 09, 2014 11:32 pm

I'm having some issues with adding new floor types. I'd like my offices/admin buildings to have some carpet.
Only I get this:
Image
Ignore the transparent dots everywhere, I forgot to change that setting when resizing the screenshots.
The carpet works but those black boxes/transparent glitches. That's footprints/grime/blood/leaves/trees/etc.
Materials.txt wise, all I've done is copied the WhiteTiles material and changed Sprite0 x/y to the tileset spots. Doesn't matter where I put it, unless it's down too far on tileset.png then it just doesn't work at all.
Switch the mod off and the carpet changes back to dirt and everything is fine.
And if I call it sprites.png but I assume it's meant to be tileset.png since it's not an object.

Wikis are light on content for flooring types and YT videos are way too long winded to find what I need, even if they have that content at all.
What am I doing wrong here? I'd like to add the floor to the list rather than just over-write used ones if possible.

Could you provide the tileset.png (imgur.com it) and a copy of the materials.txt?

You can also download a mod I created few days before, called "Category Tiles" on the workshop.
I am not using that mod anymore, and maybe I will update it later, but you can look at how its done and copy it. I hope you will find the answer by looking at the difference between your job and mine ;)

For materials, you can't use your own sprite, for now you have to copy/paste the tileset.png in your mod folder and modify it (do not change the name). But it seems that's what you've done...
