I doubt any real optimization will come until shortly before release. I know a game developer (anyone play Planetary Annihilation?) and his team didn't do any major optimizing until a bit before the release/ late beta.

It probably already been said.. but this game is still in alpha with content being added and changed monthly.

Current small/medium maps work perfectly fine at the moment. I think its perfectly acceptable for optimization for larger maps to wait until the game hits beta.

Wait till beta before you start peddling for optimization... even then be patient and remember its still in development whilst in beta.

If that is what you consider a small prison, then you might want to find a way of changing your definition of "small". A small prison is a prison that fits on a small map, whereas a large prison is a prison that fits on a large map. That is *at least* a medium prison.

There is a long history of 'unofficial patches' that improve games but those mostly come out of the frustration of a game shipping in bad shape and never getting updated. Prison architect gets a fairly reliable monthly update and while an 'alpha' is supposed to be broken, they still did a big bug squashing update which while unexpected, was for sure welcome.

I'm not going argue with you the exact definition of a small/medium/large map, it is apparent we have a difference of opinion on what constitutes those size.
You did however seem to ignore my main point that the game is only in the alpha stage of development still being updated at a regular pace.
