[Scenario] Tutorial - Getting Started

This is a scenario meant to guide new players on how to play the game. It acts as an incomplete alternative to the Deathrow scenario, and it's guidance.
This is a work in progress, but parts 1 to 4 are complete.

[UPDATE v3.1] (CURRENT)
  • Changed: Players no longer need to hire Gardeners for the Forestry room in Part 3.
  • Changed: Players no longer need to hire Janitors for the Cleaning Cupboard in Part 3.
[UPDATE v3.0] (OLD)
  • New: Part 4 Finished!
  • New: Players can now skip Part 3 and go straight into the room practice section.
  • Changed: Hub map now operates through Power Stations and Power Switches that the player must turn on. The Power Station will take the player to a part of the tutorial, and the Power Switches will provide information on each part of the tutorial.
  • Changed: Mod title changed from "[Tutorial] Getting Started" to "[Scenario] Tutorial - Getting Started".
  • Fixed: Shower room is no longer an acceptable room in the Part 3 room practice section.
  • Fixed: Part 3 room practice section was not reloading the map correctly to allow the player to practice again.
  • Fixed: Map transitions are now much quicker.
[UPDATE v2.0] (OLD)
  • New: Part 3 Completed!
[UPDATE v1.5] (OLD)
  • New: Added an intro image.
  • Changed:The CEO is now an info icon.
  • Changed:The phone call sound is much more quieter.
[THIS MOD CHANGES]
  • The Warden's image has been changed.
  • The Introversion Logo image has been changed.
  • The advisor phone call sound has been modified.
Any mods that alter these files will conflict with this scenario mod.

This mod already includes the files needed to run the scenario, and the language file is additively loaded on top of your current one. However, the language of this scenario is only in English.

[WHAT THIS MOD DOES]
It adds a new scenario in your mods menu that you can launch at any time. The mod reads the language strings from within it's own folder, and loads the prison maps from it's own folder as well.

Steam Workshop - This mod is only available from the Steam Workshop!

[FEEDBACK]
Please leave me some feedback on areas where I can improve, issues with the scenario itself, or any future parts to the tutorial you want me to make.

Cheers!

After finding out that I can unlock all the rooms, objects, and staff members, I can now start work on Part 3.

Part 3 of the tutorial will include guidance on all three. Rooms, objects, and staff - how they relate to each other.

This scenario is not meant to be fun (unless you like learning) and is solely meant to tutor new players. The thing with scenarios is that you can't save the game, and continue the scenario from where you left off. So if you had to shutdown the game, you'd have to start the scenario from the very beginning. That's the main reason why I split it into multiple parts.

Maybe I can make a part to this scenario that tells the player to create a functioning prison, but at the current state of scenario creation, that may be very difficult to accomplish.

Thanks for the feedback!

Cheers!

An update has been released, screenshots have also been updated. Part 4 is finished and some other changes! Read the first post for the change-log.

As of right now, I feel like I've hit the limits of Scenario creation for the game. Therefore, Part 5 will be difficult to think up and create. This Scenario might not see an update for some time.

Feedback is still welcome!

Seems cheap to promote my own campaigns here but as far as I know RGeezy isn't making any other campaigns at the moment, there are however two other campaigns available:
Mental Architect
Zombie Outbreak

At the moment, I am not working on other campaigns. This campaign is probably the most complex on the workshop right now, and it's taken a lot of my time.

But if I do get an idea for one, I'll probably work on that more than this one.

Thanks for the feedback!
