installing mods

So I downloaded a few cool looking mods. Great, now how do I play them?

Try this
http://www.introversion.co.uk/defcon/mods/
Take care the dir-structure is right. It has to be mods/[MOD-NAME]/data
Use the Mod-Submenu to activate them. Dont forget to hit apply.

Not sure if this is a problem with the mod, my game, or me putting it in the wrong folder, but I loaded the mod and it wont let me start a game.
I can create a game, add 2 ais, but it wont let me selected the start game icon.
Its using the space mod if that makes a difference.
