Mod Help

Postby trekdude31415 » Mon Dec 28, 2009 12:00 am

Hey i'm new to the game and have been trying to get mods to work and was wondering if someone could help me.

I downloaded the australia mod and unziped it on my desctop. it unziped creating a folder called mods with the australia mod folder inside it. I looked on the website and it said mods have go to in library/aplication suport/defcon/mods (i'm a mac user). i went to libary and then to aplication suport. Inside aplication suport there was no foider called DEFCON. (i think this is likely the problem right here). Just to try something i created a folder called decon and put the mods folder that the australia mod unziped onto my desctop in ito it. So i made it be so Library/aplication suport/defcon/mods/australi/and so on.... existed. This didn't work though, when i go into the game and clcik mods nothing shows up. Help?

Also, the australia mod's readme sujested a modloader from http://defcongame.tk/. When i went to that site though there wasn't any mod loader there. it looked like it was just a really bad searchengine. I also found a link in the formus to download a modloader but the link didn't lead to anywehre still existant and i got an error message. help?

Thank you.

You need to be in

Code: Select all

~/Library/Application Support/...

That is, you should start in your home directory, not the root directory. The full path is going to be something like

Code: Select all

/Users/trekdude31415/Library/Application Support/DEFCON/mods,

where "trekdude31415" is your user name.

Have you, you know, tried creating the directory? It is not made automatically by the app...
