[Mod] TravelGrid, now with coordinates
Moderator: Defcon moderators
Sorry guys, but i have a problem with this mod..really i have problem with any mods. I can use it but i have to deactivate it before exit the game. If i don't deactivate it the game doesn't restart and i have to modify the preference file (deleting any mod line) if i want to start the game. This happen in Vista, in Xp and also in Debian, with 2 different pc.
strange

mm..maybe, i hope. But i've tried all solutions. The strange fact is the persistance of this problem with all my operative system and differents version of defcon (1.42 for linux, 1.43 from defcon site in xp and original cdrom in vista). mods are in mods folder in defcon directory and i didn't active more than 1 mod. if i deactivate mods before exit there is no problem...the game can't be start if mod, any mod, is already active when i launch the .exe. Sorry guys....

i did as you but...
it's a mystery. Thanks for your time Ace, i'm desolated of that..
Aniway i have that mor version, i didn't modify it, it's so simple but it doesn't want to start. For example now, if i want to play, i have to edit my preferences text file in defcon directory and delete the line with indications of mods active. By default, my defcon, can be only real default.

The the best action would be to remove all your mods (don't delete them, just move them out of the defcon directory) and start defcon fresh, close, restart to see if it's something else you might have messed up. If Defcon starts/re-starts with no problems, add back in the travel grid. If you get the same problem then, you're doing something wrong.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast...
i resolve for vista
...cause in vista there is difference beetween administators and user with privileges. I reinstall the game as real administrator and i launch the .exe to play as the same real administrator. No problem now. Thanks for your time.
However i have a suspect...i reinstall the game with file downloaded from site...now i try the same procedure with cdrom (v.1.45 i.e. v.1.43 + translations) because maybe the problem is here.
Anyway happy end.

neither in my system doesn't work with coordinates...anyway it is a great idea. Do u know how doesnt work with coordinates? i.e. there isnt neither the grid with this version...
edit: \Defcon\mods\travelgrid_coordinates\data....and then create the folder "earth" and put in it the international.dat file. Look the structure of the old grid mod and do the same. Senator can forget these details...Who has THE theory can do this.
