Imperial Powers Alternate History Mod

Has anyone made or is working on a mod that incorporates the colonial powers of England, France and Spain and their territories? I was going to work on this map but just wanted to check it hadn't been done. Basically the idea is to take an alternate history, what if the colonial powers hadn't diminished and still had their various empires? I would take all the empires at their strongest point, so forgetting realistic situations a bit but working on big empires.

So for example Spain would have ownership of most North and some of South America, Italy, and the various other colonies, France would have quite a lot of North/West Africa, the Israeli area, and the North East of the US. England's territories would encompass Canada, the Eastern Africa line, India and Australia. Or perhaps in our alternate history the American War of Independance has only just started, and this time they're striking with nuclear weapons against the colonists. That would give 4 powers to begin with, and plenty of room to mod all the aeroplanes and ships to an appropriate theme. Anyway tell me what you think of my idea and input anything useful

It could be fun and as far as I know it hasn't been done so far. How are you going to treat territories that were owned by different empires? Canada was french colony for some time, for example... More importanly, will there be Russian Empire?

I wouldn't do the Americans, keep it full imperial. I think British Empire, French Empire, Spanish Empire, Russian Empire should definately be included. I'd say Ottoman and Qing Empires too for balance. North America would be highly entertaining what with Spanish Mexico/California, French Louisiana, Britain's colonies and Russian Alaska.
