I've also started work on an Eastern version of the GUI. The changes so far are:

Fighter: Su-33
Bomber: Su-25
Carrier: Kuznetsov
Battleship: Sovremenny
SAM: S-300

Further changes will be a red tint, Typhoons or Delta IVs as subs, and I might change the font and translate some stuff into Russian if I'm bored enough.

That's the problem with NATO classification of our military - i dont remember what Typhoon or Delta IV is

Typhoons are retired now, but they're just too damn awesome.

Thanks for the offer, but I can translate on my own. The only problem is that the game doesn't support Russian characters. What I'll try to do is replace the English letters with their Russian phonetic counterparts.

Also: should I add Australia to Southeast Asia?

Oh, i agree. Typhoons would look great(by the way, isnt there one of them still operational?). Anyway, they are retired, but there are new subs to come, only 2 meters less in length so they are awesome too

Also, i want to remind you that Su-25 is not a strategic bomber, just a usual plane

I know the Frogfoot isn't a strategic bomber, but neither is the F/A-18E; I'm just using it because it's carrier-capable.

I would say it is strategic enough.

Also, as a bomber Su-34 ( http://www.aviahumanfactor.ru/attach/70033684.jpg , http://www.snariad.ru/wp-content/galler ... u-34_2.jpg ) would look much more prett then Su-25 - there are currently quite few of them but thats not for long

- are you going to use some form of leet? If yes, i would say changing units look and adding Kaliningrad and Belorussia will be enough and the letters are unnesesary.

So, I decided to go with the Su-25 simply because the Su-34 is too hard to identify from the Su-33 in-game. Also, I dropped the Russian translation since it would be impossible given the game's font system. I've been working on the new units and GUI, though:

Does somebody notice that he included Switzerland and Liechtenstein intro the European Union? I'm sorry, they're not in the union. Yes, I am picky, because we Swiss people hate it, to be included in the EU. Just write Europe.

Meh, I didn't really bother screwing with the Europe .bmp too much; my reference for it was too small for proper placement of Switzerland, and Lichtenstein would barely be noticeable in-game. Besides, with all those nukes flying about, I don't think either country would go unaffected.
