MASSIVE NUCLEAR BLAST MOD
Ok guys get ready for the sound of Nuclear Mayhem.
I designed a set of new sounds that will make the game sound as if your in a scene from the movie The Day After.
This mod leaves only 1 of the original sounds [Nuke_Rumble 1] and adds 26 new nuclear detonation sounds.
It also increases the volume of these sounds making them 3 times louder and increases the volume of the Carrier's SubPing and DepthCharge.
I've sent Zanzer the mod so a link will be posted soon.

Hmmm, sounds sweet. These might be profitable sounds for my next movie that im making, although i wont use these exact sounds, the thought of CGI of a blast with nuclear explosion sounds would make my movie a little more destructive, and more fans will want to watch. it will also challenge my ability for making Special Effects. Sorry, got a little carried away, but new sounds would be great.

No, not big budget, just home-made, but there awsome. Um, I am working on a muchinama movie script, which is funny as hell, and my AAM name came from my most recent and second to best creation, The All-American Mobster, an online movie series. It only has part 1 so far (you can find it on youtube or veoh by typing in All American Mobster, and click on the one that says All American Mobster: Part 1), I have completed part 2, but lost the file, so i need to re-do that, and i have actually just completed the Part 3 movie script.
I am hoping to but a lot of the products from www.videocopilot.net to make my movies better with muzzle flashes, blood bursts, explosions, slow motion effects, so on. But yea, check it out, and tell me how you like it. The first two are no plot, but Part 3 has a plot, which i cannot say at the moment, but yea. Check it out.

There, all up. Quite a massive file for a defcon mod, though
_________
Download
ballisticsound.zip (6138kb)
Since you mentioned the lack of a proper mod setup in the readme.txt, I took the liberty of creating a proper folder path structure, so (as with all other mods on the modlist), you only have to unpack the archive in the standard defcon directory.
Enjoy

Just tried this mod out, very nice! I think this will actually go into use on my home PC. Although, I almost never have my speakers turned on. But when I have the luxury of not annoying anybody, you can bet I'll be hearing this mod!
Thanks! And I forgot to thank zanzer7 for my mod posts, how silly of me. But, if it's any consolation, there's a city named zanzer7 (hmm, or was it just zanzer) in Rubix Cubicon.

Well, after having used this mod for several games of defcon, both playing and spectating, I heartily give this a stamp of approval.
I never thought there'd be a non-critical mod that could actually add to the game, now I've found one. From the powerful close up detonations to the low rumble of global destruction and even the noticeable blasts from depth charges you get a good mix and variety of explosive white flashes.
It even makes watching dedcon recording that much more interesting. I highly recommend you download and active this mod today!

All you do is extract to your Defcon folder (C:\Program Files\Defcon\, or something like C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Defcon), which will create a 'mods' folder in the Defcon directory, and then a folder within that for the mod.
<snip>
EDIT: zanzer7's fixed it now, so just unzip it into your Defcon directory as above.
