2v2 Ying Yang *MVPE*

What would it take for you to create a 2v2 Ying Yang? Money? Privileges? We can wait any amount of time.

But the Ying Yang mod is perfect, there is absolutely no territorial advantage. So think about a 2v2 with no territory advantage. Would be pure skill and would enjoy to play it. Possibly make it a dedicated server too? Not sure what is your thoughts MVPE? :)

Make it look like a 4-sided triangle.

I made the 2v2 version by dividing the territories parallel to the line of symmetry. There is enough space for all 4 players to place silos, airbases and radars, however this will mean 12 silos packed into a small land space. I guess this means navy will become even more important now.
The water space is shared by the allies.

And this is the map overlay with the original map to show you the relative size of the seas.

Trickster, do you remember in which order the territories need to be modded? I remember I got this wrong in the original 1v1 mod which made the Ai not pick a territory if it was not manualy selected before the game started.

Order doesn't matter for random territory selection, Defcon will always pick 1 of 6/remaining.
Using a dedcon server with "Territory5 AS; Territory6 AF" will exclude AS and AF from the first 4 picks. This works for human players, not sure about AI.

NA ,SA, EU, RU, AS, AF is the order of the corresponding code numbers.

I made a new cities.dat file. It contains more cities which is also useful for 1v1 mod.

Whats wrong here?... :roll: Download 2v2 Ying Yang.rar is not "matching" command based off file info.

File name: YingYang 2v2
Version 1.0

Edit,
Here is the command for Mods in dedcon,

Code: Select all

ServerMods YingYang 2v2;1.0;

also tried,

Code: Select all

ServerMods YingYang 2v2;1;

and,

Code: Select all

ServerMods YingYang2v2;1.0;

and,...

Code: Select all

ServerMods YingYang2v2;1;

Sooo....
ran out of options after fourth try. Any suggestions?..
[ik, duplicate post trying to resolve this asap.]

ServerMods YingYang2v2;1;

This is the correct one. Check other things in the config, like the territories.

Territory1 NA
Territory2 SA
Territory3 EU
Territory4 RU

This should do it,

Code: Select all

#GAME OPTIONS
ServerMods YingYang2v2;1;
MinTeams 4
MaxTeams 4

Territory1 0
Territory2 1
Territory3 2
Territory4 3
Territory5 None
Territory6 None

Its up and running posted about it in General and here,
2v2 Ying Yang is now available to play 24/365 days a year powered by Group 6.

So I was curious about a 4-way ying yang shape and put together this:
Image

I made all circles 1:2 and colors complementary, but the result seems rather poor.
No idea how to make the small ying-yang symbols blend into the bigger shapes.

How about something like this?

It is a bit more restrictive in navy placement.

I like the joined waters version better I think. The land seperation makes it more interesting for a 2v2.
