modding question

yea im not the first person to ask NOR am i the last....
how do i mod stuff like battleships and subs and bla. not their stats but just how they look

you edit the image files in the main.dat ( use it as a normal RAR) :)

A better way is to extract main.dat into a Defcon\data directory.

Any file found in there will replace the default one in the main.dat archive structure on run time, and you wont damage the default install.

Just make sure they are in the same place (i.e. in the \data\graphics directory in the case of naval icons), have the same name, and maintain the same graphical format - no size increases and save your work as a 24-bit windows bitmap.
